iPhone 11 Pro/ Pro Max – Prices, Release date, main features

The new iPhone have just been launched finally! There are 3 models have been released and they are iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 11. So what special things that Apple brought us? There are 10 main items you have to know.

The new iPhones and their colours

This time, Apple brought us 3 iPhones, same as last year, that they are iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 11. For iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, there are a few new colours to the range, so it comes in black, green, gold, purple, red, and silver. For iPhone 11, Carol and Blue were out and purple and green come in.

Similar outline to iPhone XS but Super Retina XDR was applied

The similar outlines with these 3 phones complete with last version. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have the same new OLED screen, called super retina XDR, offer a crisp, True Tone display and haptic touch.

3 Main cameras

Camera is the main feature of iPhone and it have been improved and strengthened. First of all, iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max got a brand new 3 camera formation, a 12MP telephoto lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP wide lens. Apple says it has also improved the software in its camera, including a new Deep Fusion feature which aims to take on the Google Pixel‘s portrait mode.

For iPhone 11, there are two lenses on the back, a 12MP wide lens and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. A new Night Mode will automatically change your camera tech to shoot good low-lighting photography that aims to take on the Google Pixel 3. As well, the front camera has a new 12MP true depth camera to take wide-angle selfies, whilst a slo mo video will herald the age of the slo mo selfie.

Face ID recognition speeds up with wider angle

3 of the new iPhone also adopted face recognition, the recognition speed has increased 30% compare with previous generation. Moreover, there is wider angle for face detection.

Waterproof rating

The smartphones have an updated waterproof rating to IP68, with the 11 Pro and Pro Max waterproof to 4m, whilst the 11 is waterproof to 2m.

New hardware but not support 5G

The new iPhones will sport Apple’s brand new A13 Bionic chip. Apple says this is the fastest CPU ever in a smartphone, beating Samsung’s Galaxy S10+ and Huawei P30 Pro performance. Thanks to these new features, the iPhones will have hours’ more battery than previous generations.

There are other brands that released 5G phones, but the new iPhones are still not support 5G network. We may need to wait for another year for next generation iPhone which support 5G network.

Battery life

The new iPhones all get larger battery capacity. Apple claimed that iPhone 11 Pro is more power-efficient than last year’s XS, and promising four-hours’ more battery life. For iPhone 11 Pro Max, there is a bigger battery size than last year’s Max which promises five-hours extra battery life per day. iPhone 11 will also have an hours’ more battery than last year’s XR.

iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max shipped with 18W charger

Apple will now offer both the Lightning to USB-C cable in the box with the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The 18W charger and cable combo has offered up to 50% battery in just 30 minutes.

The release date and the prices

Prices for iPhone 11 will start from £699, cheaper than last year’s iPhone XR at £749. The device is available to pre-order on Friday September 13 and will ship next week on Friday September 20. Prices iPhone 11 Pro will start at £999 with pre-orders opening this Friday, and shipping beginning next week on Friday, September 20. iPhone 11 Pro Max will start from £1,099. Like the other two devices, pre-orders will start on Friday, and the new phone will ship on Friday, September 20.
