Google have already launched her two new flagship smartphones today: the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. These two Made-by-Google smartphone are going to challenge Apple’s new iPhone this year with new hardware and software, in addition, Pixel exclusive Android features but with cheaper prices
The Google Pixel 4 and Google Pixel 4 XL get the same specification. They get the Qualcomm Snapdraon 855 Soc, NOT 855+, 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage. Unfortunately, they have no micro SD expansion and headphone jack…
For the battery capacities, the Pixel 4 gets a 2800mAh and the Pixel 4 XL gets a 3700mAh battery. A little worry about the life time and hope they can work through for a whole day without charging for normal usage.
The Best Smartphone Display
The displays on Pixel 4 family are 90Hz displays, they can be switched to 60Hz and 90Hz on the phone.
Pixel 4 and 4XL have the fastest face recognition. This year, Google gave up the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it is replaced by secure face recognition. The phones get two face unlock IR cameras, one is a dot projector and the other is a flood illuminator. Hence, they can create an accurate model of the face.
Another reason that the new Pixels get the fast unlock speed is the feature Motion Sense. Motion Sense allows the phones to sense your motion, and you can change a song, snooze alarms and silence calls by waving your hand. This feature is not released to all countries, but luckily, the phone in UK will get this feature.
The new camera system
The new Google smartphone finally get the dual-camera system, which are a wide angle 12-megapixel camera and a 16-megapixel 2-time telephoto camera for 3-time hybrid zoom. The camera comes with Google’s “night sight” technology, which can take a great picture in dark environment.
These 2 rear-camera can take wider-range portrait shots as the lenses can capture depth information. Besides, there is a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor on the back for accurate distance and depth sensing.
Go and get it
The Google Pixels are being made available in black, white and a limited edition orange. Google will be selling them from October 24 and the cheapest model will begin at £669, which is lower than the Pixel 3 when it was first released last year.
